Wisconsin Excursion Ideas – July 2022

All throughout the state communities will be showing off their Patriotic spirit with fireworks shows. Some of these communities offer kid-friendly games, activities and more to help celebrate the 4th of July. Here are a few can’t miss spots in Wisconsin:

 

Northern WI

Green Bay 

Don’t miss Fire Over the Fox. Centered around the Main St. bridge, from City Deck to Leicht Memorial Park, this is a festival with ceremonies, food, carnival rides and music. Later in the day there is a waterski show on the Fox River, and at dusk is one of the area’s largest and most brilliant fireworks display that is set to music! You can also reserve a seat in the VIP area of Leicht Park and view the fireworks up close.

 

Door County

Located at Harbor View Park near Downtown Egg Harbor, this is a celebration that begins July 3rd. Harbor View Park hosts food, music and drinks. At dusk, grab a seat because they have one of the most spectacular fireworks displays. The village of Egg Harbor has a parade the following day, July 4th, at 1:30pm.

 

Central WI

Stevens Point

Located at Pfiffner Pioneer Park, Riverfront Rendezvous offers love music, trivia contest, comedy show, food and beverage. This celebration lasts from July 1st to July 3rd. There is also a special Family Zone that hosts inflatables, lumberjack shows and tournaments. At dusk, fireworks will light the sky over the river.

 

Appleton

This display on July 3rd at Memorial Park. Check out live music, children’s activities, food and drinks. Come early to reserve the best seat for you. After dusk the fireworks, put on by the Appleton Jaycees, will begin.

 

Wisconsin Dells

Located near Downtown Dells, this spectacular show of patriotism is one of the most extravagant displays in Wisconsin! With over 1,300 fireworks, the Fireworks Extravaganza makes this display visible from just about anywhere within the city limits. This celebration offers live music, food, drinks, games and, of course, fireworks.

 

Southern WI

Madison

Located along Lake Monona, this is one of Wisconsin’s largest fireworks display in the state. This festival offers food, drinks, live music, petting zoo, and even a human cannonball! Shake on the Lake is a free celebration, and fireworks will begin shortly after dusk.

 

Milwaukee

Located on Milwaukee’s lakefront at Veteran’s Park, Milwaukee offers a Kite Festival on July 3rd. This park will offer outdoor festivities and picnicking with live music, food and beverage before the fireworks display begins after dusk.
