What Information Does Evergreen Credit Union Collect

We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

  • Provide account information or show your government-issued ID
  • Give us your contact information such as when replying to a survey or submitting a contact form
  • We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies

All financial companies need to share member’s personal information to run their everyday business. Evergreen Credit Union receives personally-identifiable information from its website visitors only when it is provided voluntarily, such as when our visitors request information, complete a form or send an email. We use this personal information to contact you and respond to your comments or requests for information.

 

USA PATRIOT Act

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

When you open an account, we will ask you for your name, address, date of birth, and another other information that will allow us to identify you. We will ask for your driver’s license and another piece of valid identification or other identifying documents.

 

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) restricts the collection, use, or disclosure of Personal Information from and about children under the age of 13 on the internet. In compliance with COPPA, Evergreen Credit Union (known as “Credit Union”) is committed to protecting the online privacy of the children who visit our website. The Credit Union’s website and online services are not directed to children under the age of 13. Should the Credit Union receive information from a child known to be under 13, the information will only be used to respond directly to the child, seek parental consent, or provide parental notice. Products geared towards the financial success of children, such as our Seedling Savings Club, require parental consent to be opened and enrolled. The Credit Union is not responsible for the data collection and use practices of nonaffiliated third parties. Analytics, Display Advertising, and Interest-Based Advertising

Evergreen Credit Union uses Google Analytics to collect information about the use of our website. We use this information for display based advertising, including but not limited to, remarketing, Google display network impression reporting, and Google analytics demographics and interest reporting. These services help us to serve more relevant advertising experiences across the web based on previous visits to our website.

For example, when you visit a website that uses advertising services like AdSense, including analytics tools like Google Analytics, or embeds video content from YouTube, your web browser automatically sends certain information to Google. This includes the URL of the page you’re visiting and your IP address. Google may also set cookies on your browser or read cookies that are already there.

If you are signed in to your Google Account, and depending on your Account settings, My Activity allows you to review and control data that’s created when you use Google services. When you are no longer our customer, we continue to share your information as described in our privacy notice. However, you can contact us at any time to limit our sharing.
