Our History
Evergreen Credit Union was started by the employees of Wisconsin Tissue Mills in 1958 to help their fellow employees with financial needs that were not being met by the local banks. In 1984, we outgrew the space available in the plant and built the first branch across the street. The location on Ehlers Road allowed us to provide our members with expanded services for many years.
In November of 2002, our members approved of changing the name to Evergreen Credit Union. With the new name and open charter, we moved the credit union to our current main location on West American Drive in 2005. The new building and location have enabled us to better serve our members and the community from an easily accessible location. Since the move to this location, our membership and the services we offer have grown by leaps and bounds.
In February 2021, we opened our second branch in Appleton, Wisconsin on North Richmond Street. This location was placed with our growing member base in mind, and was designed for sustainability in addition to fast paced service. This was a monumental milestone for us and we are excited to serve the Fox Valley for many years to come.

Donating funds to plant a tree for each new account and loan closing
Using less energy with the help of our solar array, which provides 85% of our annual energy demand
Achieving zero waste status under the EPA guidelines by diverting 90% of our waste from landfills through recycling and composting
Implementing sustainable practices to remove paper from payments, bills, and statements
Special discounted loan rates for hybrid and electric vehicles
Community Involvement
Evergreen Credit Union and our team sponsor and volunteer at events in our surrounding communities all year long. We strive to make a difference in the lives of our members as well as anyone in need.
Throughout the year, we sponsor different events around the community, such as Movie in the Park in the Village of Fox Crossing, Filthy Fun Kids Run and the Neenah Animal Shelter Furry Flurry. We also have bake sales, school supply drives, a holiday giving tree, and other fundraisers to gather donations for local charities.
