Spoofed Phone Calls

Scammers are using increasingly high-pressure tactics to impersonate credit union employees.

Thieves can make a phone call appear to come from a local number, your bank, a government agency, or even someone you know. This is called call spoofing.

Stop before you act if a caller:
⚠️ Demands money or gift cards
⚠️ Asks for passwords or verification codes
⚠️ Creates a sense of panic or urgency
⚠️ Tells you to keep the call secret
⚠️ Claims you must act immediately

If something feels suspicious, hang up and contact the person or organization using a phone number you independently know is legitimate. Never trust caller ID alone.
