What is a Money Manager (Money Market) Account
Is A Money Manager Right for You? Our Evergreen Credit Union Money Manager is a money market account that yields higher interest while maintaining access to your money. When you’re looking for a safe place to stash cash and earn some interest, consider a money manager!
Benefits of a Money Manager
Starting at $2,000, our Money Manager accounts have a low minimum deposit requirement and earn more interest than a standard Seed Savings. As you deposit more money into your money manager, you will earn more interest through our tier system. Once you deposit more than $50,000, you will be eligible for our Super Money Manager. Check out our rates table to see our current tiers.
Money Manager accounts allow you to access your money any time as long as you are withdrawing at least $250. Since these are meant for savings, our minimum withdrawal requirement discourages you from using it as a spending account. Interest accrues daily, and is deposited monthly. Let your money sit, gain interest, and enjoy the benefits of compound savings.
In addition, Evergreen Credit Union is federally insured by the NCUA. This means your Money Manager and any other deposits are insured up to $250,000. Visit the NCUA website to learn more: https://ncua.gov/consumers/share-insurance-coverage
Things to Consider
Evergreen Credit Union secures the minimum deposit for Money Manager (and Super Money Manager) accounts. If you need to bring the balance below the minimum requirement, the money manager will need to be closed.
Money market accounts typically earn less interest than a certificate of deposit, but you are allowed access to your money without penalty. Our Money Manager may also change interest rates (APY) at any time, while a certificate deposit has a guaranteed rate of return.
Evergreen Credit Union is a money-smart and earth-kind financial in Neenah and Appleton, Wisconsin. Membership is open to everyone who lives or works in Outagamie, Waupaca, Waushara, Calumet, or Winnebago counties. Information accurate as of 2/3/2026.
