Credit Union Youth Month Sprouts Savings
April is Credit Union Youth Month! Evergreen Credit Union is here to help young savers sow their savings! Setting your child up for success is as easy as bringing them into the branch, having them deposit their piggy bank, and letting them watch their savings grow.
Savers up 12 years old are automatically enrolled in our Seedling Savings Club. At account opening, they will get a deposit stamp card to help them stay excited about saving. For each $5 deposited into their savings account, they will earn a stamp. If they fill the whole tree with 30 stamps, they get to pick a prize!
There’s a variety of services we offer to make sure savings stay on track. We offer direct deposit (including contributions from parents), checking accounts for minors 13 or older, and a Sapling Certificate of Deposit that starts at just $25. Our Sapling Certificates, for those 17 and younger, allow you to deposit extra money at any time making it similar to a high-yield savings account.
