2026 Urban Forestry Donations
In alignment with the credit union’s mission to be the most environmentally responsible credit union in the nation, Evergreen Credit Union made two $1,500 donations to local urban forestry programs.
Observed in Wisconsin on the last Friday in April, the Arbor Day movement began in the 1800s to promote conservation and beautification of the environment. For over a decade, Evergreen Credit Union has made annual donations for tree planting in Wisconsin to celebrate this holiday.
This year, donations were made to the Village of Fox Crossing and City of Appleton Urban Forestry funds. Evergreen Credit Union’s two branches are located in these municipalities, showing our support for the environment most local to us. In addition, a donation of $250 was made to the Wisconsin Forests for the Future Fund, fulfilling the credit union’s promise of donating money to plant a tree for each new account opened.
Evergreen Credit Union’s donations have supported multiple projects over the years, including tree planting events with school children, and replanting efforts on College Avenue.
Evergreen Credit Union is a money-smart and earth-kind financial in Neenah and Appleton, Wisconsin. Membership is open to everyone who lives or works in Outagamie, Waupaca, Waushara, Calumet, or Winnebago counties. Sustainability related inquiries can be made to sustainability@evergreencu.com.
