Our
Vision Statement To
create lifelong relationships that capture our members’
imaginations.
Our
Mission Statement Inspiring
our members to achieve their dreams by delivering innovative
and sustainable financial solutions with amazing service.
Our
History
Evergreen
Credit Union was incorporated on March 28, 1958 as Wisconsin
Tissue Employees Credit Union with 37 members.
The first ‘credit union office’ was ‘Mike’s
Cubby’, which was accessed by going through the boiler room
past the paper machine. Later,
business was conducted from the nurse’s station at Plant 1.
We moved into the Ehlers Road location on February 25,
1984. Assets were
$1.9 million and the membership was 1175.
An addition of 2300 sq. ft. that more than doubled our
floor space was completed in February 1995.
At that time, assets were $7.7 million and our
membership was 2230. In
November of 2002, our members approved a charter change
allowing membership to people living or working in Outagamie
or Winnebago Counties; and they also approved the name change
to Evergreen Credit Union.
With the name and charter change, we made a strategic
commitment to continue providing outstanding financial
services to our current members, and to reach out to serve
potential members in the Valley and beyond.
Our mantra is ‘Helping People Succeed’ and we are
committed to be good stewards in the Town both financially and
environmentally, and we look forward to a long and mutually
prosperous relationship.
Our
Membership Field
Everyone
who works or lives in Outagamie, Waupaca, Waushara or
Winnebago Counties (and their families).
When a current member encourages an eligible person to
join ECU, they will be rewarded with a special gift.

Identity
Theft Protection
Internet
education compliments
of your credit union!
Phishing:
The act of sending an e-mail to a user
falsely claiming to be an established legitimate enterprise in
an attempt to scam the user into surrendering private
information that will be used for identity theft. The e-mail
directs the user to visit a Web site where they are asked to
update personal information, such as passwords and credit
card, social security, and bank account numbers, that the
legitimate organization already has. The Web site, however, is
bogus and set up only to steal the user’s information.
Please
be wary of suspicious emails that request you to
log in to ItsMe247 Online Banking and provide personal
information. We
will never send an email that requests personal
information, and our Online Banking
service will never
require you to enter anything other than the member number and
PIN used to log on. Also, please check the URL in the
address bar to make sure it reads https
(which indicates a secured site) and that the name is correct
at cuathome.org. WE
WILL ALSO NOT USE A TELEPHONE SERVICE THAT REQUIRES YOU TO
ENTER YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION OR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.
Please contact your credit union
directly any time you are concerned about a legitimate link or
if a communication came from ECU. Identity
Theft educational reference materials and personal assistance
are available at the credit union.
This
information is provided as an informational resource
only. You are encouraged to contact your own internet
provider/protective service you may have engaged for specific
directions as to how to handle these types of situation.
